His style tends to be influenced by popular alternative culture, the portrayal of 'LA Life' and tattoo flash design.
Lee was one of the very first illustrators that I became interested in and it was the inspiration I received from studying his work that lead me to choose to specialise in illustration

I love his ability to make pencil shading look so crisp and graphic and he teams it very well with ink washes. Some times it is hard to tell what is digitally colour and what is hand-painted.

I also admire Lee's ability to re-creat similar images usually by hand. Note the chest tattoo is the same as the owl below. However, these elements were drawn separately.
More recently, Lee has began to edge more towards digital colouring to emphasise the tattoo likeness.
